Our foundry started operating within AKON’s main facility in 2003 with the aim of;

• Increasing the casting and production quality,
• Decreasing the time for new product development process,
• Increasing the product delivery speed by shortening the supply process,
• Enabling flexibility in production

In 2003, the casting production was carried out with;

• Sand moulding mehtod,
• A furnice of 150kg and working capacity of 30tons/month

In 2 years’ time;

• AKON had strong change and development in casting system,
• Casting has changed to shell moulding  from sand moulding for,
• Better surface quality,
• Better dimensional tolerances

Developments in 2007 enabled, foundry to continue its operations with;

• New investments and moving a new facility, constructed within AKON terrain,
• A new furnice of 500kg which can supply all of AKON needs as well as answering market’s casting demands,
• Capacity of 100tons/month, continuing with shell moulding system,
• A new casting laboratory which consists of modern testing equipment
